| You'll Be Wrapped
| | What are Kebabs? Kebabs are known by many around the world as a roast lamb or roast chicken sandwich with garden salad eaten after midnight following a few pints of their favourite alcoholic beverage. Yes a universally accepted and consumed favourite presented in a delicious wrap with many choices of sauce and salad toppings packaged neatly in a manner that can be consumed on the spot or can be transported to a desired location for later indulgence. In addition to the freshly roasted chicken and lamb kebabs we have many other menu items to spoil the taste buds. Like the old milk bar serving hamburgers kebabs are being served all over the country in hundreds and maybe thousands of locations. The product has long been looking for leadership and regulation and a brand to market it to its full potential. That brand is Sunshine Kebabs. What about Sunshine Kebabs? In 1990 Mr. Dogan director of Sunshine Kebabs moved from Sydney to Bundaberg QLD. The town lacked good fast food so Mr. Dogan along with his three brothers decided to open a kebab shop. A product that he had long been working with in Sydney. Since they were now in the Sunshine State of Queensland they called it Sunshine Kebabs. So the dream was born. Mr.Dogan and his brothers continued to operate from that shop for almost twenty years. In 2001 the second generation of the family having completed their education wanted more involvement in the business they had been working in from a very young age. Murat Coskun the other director of Sunshine Kebabs opened a second Sunshine Kebabs store at this point. This store also became a success and proved that the system could be replicated. The new stores in new towns and suburbs grew until director and CEO Murat Coskun realised that the business could not continue growth at this rate through internal management as the family members available to manage stores became harder to source. So it was decided in 2006 that the system would be franchised. Now 27 stores and ten franchisees later Sunshine Kebabs have decided they want to take the taste sensation all over Australia and even abroad. | |
