HISTORY Chem-Dry commenced in the USA 30 years ago and there are currently over 4,500 franchises operating worldwide. Chem-Dry Australia was founded by the Mitchell family in Sydney in 1986. Since then approximately 200 franchises have joined the network and Chem-Dry now has the widest coverage of any carpet cleaning company in Australia.
